Dr. Marty Goldstein
Dr. Marty earned his DVM from Cornell University in 1973. He was certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1977 and was one of the founding members of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Over the last three decades, Dr. Marty has given seminars on alternative therapies nationwide and has appeared on numerous regional and national radio and television programs, including the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Martha Show and Good Morning America.
He is also the author of “The Nature of Animal Healing”, first published in 1999. It received excellent reviews and has continued to sell consistently even now, sixteen years later. For six years, he hosted his own weekly program, “Ask Martha’s Vet with Dr Marty” on Martha Stewart’s SiriusXM satellite radio network.
Dr. Marty’s unique practice of integrative/alternative medicine and advice on pet care, diet and supplementation has attracted celebrity clients/supporters from all over the world. Many of these have become huge fans and close friends. Some noteworthy names include Academy Award winning actress Hilary Swank, Oprah Winfrey, Gary Shandling, Courtney B.Vance and Angela Bassett, Anne Archer, Michael Keaton, Barbara Lazaroff and Wolfgang Puck, Marjorie Lord, Jim Fowler, Jennifer O’neil, Robert Vaughn, Leslie Ann Warren, Lenny Kravitz, Richard Gere, Kirstie Alley, Marlo Thomas, Mike Myers, Ali Macgraw, Gary Null, Steven Seagal, Edgar Winter and friend Cesar Millan-The Dog Whisperer (Dr. Marty was the behind-the-scenes advisor to products Cesar developed, was featured in his last book and wrote for his magazine, Cesar’s Way).
Dr. Marty currently cares for the pets of, Jerry Seinfeld and his sister/manager Carolyn Liebling, John Travolta and Kelly Preston, Martha Stewart (who is a close friend, gave him his satellite radio show, and invited him on her TV show several times), Stockard Channing (endorsed Dr. Marty and his work saying it saved her dog’s life and invited him to be her escort to an ASPCA event), Stanley Tucci, Marissa Tomei, Ed Burns and Christy Turlington, Tom and Meredith Brokaw, Chevy Chase, Louise Lasser, Dick Button (Olympic gold skater), jazz singer/songwriter Michael Franks, Keith Carradine, Cyndi Lauper, (one of her dogs was a huge success story), Annie Schulhof (current and past President of the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures), Andrew Loog Oldham (dear friend and original producer of The Rolling Stones), Chazz Palminteri, soap opera star Grant Alekzander, designer Marc Jacobs, Roger Goodman (former director of ABC News) and actor, producer, director and writer Fisher Stevens.
